As the Superintendent of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, I have the distinct privilege of leading a school district that is committed to providing the finest educational experience for the students and community we serve.

This commitment is evident in the numerous honors our schools receive each year. We are proud of our 18 California Distinguished Schools and 6 National Blue Ribbon Schools and are especially proud to announce that Fairmont Elementary School is our most recent National Blue Ribbon School recipient. Congratulations to the entire Fairmont staff, students and parents for their commitment to excellence.

This same commitment was demonstrated by the PYLUSD community on February 5, 2008, with the passage of Measure A.  This $200 million bond will provide needed funding to modernize all qualifying schools including classrooms, offices, and restrooms; construct new classrooms to replace aging portables; build and improve performing arts and athletic facilities; and upgrade technology in classrooms.
