(this is a mock CST test that allows students/teachers/parents to see which standards our students have mastered.
Individual results will be given to each student and practice will be provided for any standards

Spring Training of Baseball Literature Circles!!!
Let's get ready to....ROll of Thunder, Hear My Cry! Starting Monday, April 22nd we will begin our 5 week Spring Training for Baseball Lit Circles. Students will be reading, discussing, creating, thinking and designing some great material! Stay tuned for upcoming GAME DAYS in our Class Playbook located in Web Files!

You’ll have access to only your W-drive folder, an you’ll only be able to save files like documents and PowerPoints in there.


Work on files on your own computer – you can only save and retrieve files from the Digital Locker (in other words, don’t try to open or make changes to a document from home that is saved in your W drive without first copying it to your home computer).

1) Gather information on the topics you chose to compare and contrast... We will be writing our compare contrast essay in class this week. Ex. McDonalds and Del Taco - gather information on their menus, locations, history etc.

TUESDAY
1) Today we determined your similarity category, your two difference categories for your compare and contrast essay topics, and wrote your thesis. Your homework tonight is to complete your hook... you can use background information on the topics, a quote, a funny story... anything to get the reader interested in reading your paper. Don’t forget to tie you hook into your thesis with a bridge.
