WELCOME TO SIXTH GRADE!

Dear Parents and Students,

As the first trimester draws to a close, I would like to comment on the progress that we've made.

In terms of Science, the students have gone to the STEM lab twice, where they participated in various explorations that taught concepts related to microscopes, the human body, engineering, technology, motion and force, and investigating crime scenes.

In terms of Math, we have covered operations with whole numbers, exponents, factorization, GCF, LCM, fractions, and decimals.

The Alphas and Betas have worked hard and are making great strides academically.

It has been a great start to the year.

I encourage you, students, to keep up the hard work. I encourage you, parents, to ask your students questions about what they're learning and to help your child set academic goals for the coming trimester.

Yours truly,

Ms. Yamamoto
