First Day of School

PTA Membership
Our class and school goal is 100% participation. Membership is only $10 per family. If you have not yet become a member, please join! Our PTA supports many events at Rio including assemblies, family nights, and field trips.
P.E. Schedule
We have P.E. every Tuesday from 2:00 to 2:45 and Friday from 1:15 to 2:00.
Computer Schedule
We visit the Computer Lab every Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 to 2:45.
Back to School Night
Please join us at Back to School Night on Thursday, Sept. 23. The PTA meeting will begin at 6:00 and classrooms will open at 7:00. I look forward to meeting you and sharing all the important things your child will be learning this year in fourth grade. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for a conference time with me in December.
Class Materials
All students should have a 3-ring binder with subject dividers to organize class work and homework, lined notebook paper, scissors, glue stick(s), crayons, a dry erase marker, and pencils by the first week of school. "Sharpie" pens are not allowed. Reading, Math, Grammar, Social Studies, Science, AR, and Spelling books will come home on a regular basis--please help your child remember to bring these materials back to school every day. Thank you.
Walk Through California - Monday, Oct. 25
Please mark your calendars: "Walk Through California" is coming to Rio Vista for our class on Monday, Oct. 25, at 8:30 AM. The parent information letter will be available at Back-to-School Night. You won't want to miss this event!

We visit the Library every Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:00.
