Instrumental Music

Dan Methe was born in Norwalk, Connecticut and has lived in California for the past twenty years. He received his Associate of Arts degree in Music from Fullerton College and his Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Long Beach. Dan is currently the instrumental music teacher at Yorba Linda Middle School and has been an active member of the SCSBOA and IAJE for several years.

As a musician, Dan is the leader of the Swing Cats Big Band and has played with the La Primavera Orchestra, the Moonlight Express Jazz Band, Pacific Symphony Institute, Doc Anello Swing Machine and performed throughout Southern California, Europe and the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland. He has studied the trumpet with Steve Crum, Jim Linahon, Dave Evans and Bobby Shew and he has worked with many outstanding musicians including Conti Condoli, Lanny Morgan, Reba McIntyre, Charley Davis, and Fred Carroll.
